Who Is Mami Wata?
Mami Wata (Mother Water) is a Divine ethereal water entity. She is celebrated throughout African, South American and West Indian cultures. She represents a sacred form of spiritual alignment which highlights the nature of water and life. Mami Wata promotes a natural flow within those who honor and respect her. She embodies peace but will become a warrior for Justice if provoked, particularly when children are involved. Mami Wata is often visually portrayed as a mermaid and is considered a primary influence among the ancient water spirits.
